Welcome to the Gary behind Very Gary. Gary J. Kunich has been a writer and storyteller for more than 35 years, first plying his trade as a reporter for weekly, Air Force base newspapers. He’s lived all over the world and wrote for the European Stars and Stripes and the Kenosha News.
During that time there have been thousands of stories, and some of them were even good. OK, some of them sucked. It took about 10 years to learn how to do this writing thing.
You’ll find a mixture of stories and columns about everyday life, letters to his adorable grandbaby, Ellie, fitness and more.
When he’s not writing or thinking about writing, Gary spoils Ellie, and his dogs, Maddie and Scooby.
Gary is also an avid Stephen King fan, likes Universal movie monsters, is a fitness enthusiast and likes to downhill ski. He’s married and unavailable, ladies.
